Unit is ready to perform for the next 40 years! Prior to restoration, the unit was a fully functioning and was in a living room setting, since new - has never been stored in a wet basement, garage, etc., so no rust. Case in great cosmetic condition - very little was done to the case during restoration as it was already in great shape. Original 'warning' stickers intact on each side. Nearly $400 restoration. In my opinion, the SX-3700 is the perfect mid-range receiver. It has power to spare & its layout is much easier to work on compared to the SX-3800, SX-3900, according to my tech - just look up pictures of the 3800/3900 w/ cover removed and you'll see why! This translates to a much-cheaper bill when having work done, etc. Compared to it's competitors, or predecessors like the SX-780, the 'punch' these units pack is unmistakeable - you will never feel lacking when filling a room of any size with sound, reasonably speaking. Last, having a receiver with all the bells of the golden age and the addition of a digital readout is pretty cool as well! That's my take on the SX-3700..
