This is a beautiful vintage hand-carved wooden religious bas-relief wall plaque depicting the biblical scene commonly known as Jesus Blessing the Children.

The craftsmanship on this piece is exceptional, featuring deep layered carving, expressive figures, detailed drapery, and individually carved botanical and architectural elements. This is not a flat or mass-produced carving, but a high-quality devotional work with strong depth and presence.

The carved panel is set within a dark ebonized wood frame and is fitted with a decorative brass-toned metal wall hanger featuring a geometric fret-style design, which adds to its Old World character and allows for easy wall display.
