Vintage Mcintosh MR80 FM Tuner
Cleaning out the basement and have stacks of old tuners I've collected over the years -
Here we have a McIntosh MR80 which powers on and receives stations (tested with a 75k ohm coax antenna). Cosmetically the glass is clean, no cracks or paint bubbling. The plastic bezel is loose and could be re-glued. Top cover is clean with minor marks.
Unit was tested as in the video, tuning local stations and switching on/off the various functions. No other in depth testing has been done.
Known issues:
- The touch buttons for presets and tuning work intermittently, which is a common issue with these by now. They will need proper cleaning and adjustment.
- The tuning dial can jump while turning the main tuning knob
- Two of the knobs have broken plastic collars. (see photos)
- McIntosh double boxes are included though the serial on the box does not match the tuner serial.
