상품 설명
Here we have a 1992 Trek 930 Singletrack, 22" (XL), the largest made that year. It was constructed in the USA using double-butted True Temper 4130 Chromoly and those gorgeous Trek lugs. It's been enjoyed, but sadly, had some storage damage over the years and has a few other things things we need to discuss, but, let's begin, shall we?
The frame overall has no major dents, dings or gouges that I can see. The decals are clear, bright and undamaged for the most part. The head tube badge is still present and well attached. Cosmetically, the frame looks good, with plenty of shine for a 34 year old bike!
Flaws-wise, I see some cable rub; scrapes on the fork, especially upper left leg; marks on the top tube including a very, very small dent; paint damage from a kickstand installation; some light chainsuck; and some scrapes on the underside of the downtube near the bottom bracket shell.
The bottom bracket threads are damaged; I installed a Sunlite Threadless Repair Bottom Bracket, 68 x 122.5mm, identical to the one on the bike when I got it. If you do not want it, I will issue you a $35 refund when you buy the frame. I can also provide additional photos of the bottom bracket if you want to assess the situation better. These replacement BBs work great though, I've used them very successfully in the past.
There is 100/135mm spacing of course, and a 26.6 mm seatpost is needed (I should have several in stock, and yes I combine shipping). Top tube looks to be about 22.75". The threaded headset is 1-1/8". I also replaced the rubber grommet on the seat post binder bolt, as they always dry out and crack.
This is a great frame for a taller rider and though it needs some love, it's straight, solid and ready to be your next build. Scoop it up ... RIGHT NOW!
For a better understanding of the bike's overall condition, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE and see the MANY PHOTOS I HAVE INCLUDED BELOW, RIGHT IN THE LISTING, IN ADDITION TO THE 24 THAT EBAY NOW ALLOWS! I want you to know what you're getting!
"WILL THIS BIKE FIT ME?" Please refer to the LAST IMAGE in the set above, it's a handy chart I found on the excitebikes.com website. It's just a guideline though, to be sure, consult your local bike shop's fitting department!
About the shipping: please know, I do not mark up shipping, I charge whatever eBay's system tells me. The cost to get it to you is a function of two things: 1) the size of the box I have available to ship it and 2) your distance from New Jersey. Thanks for understanding!
That about does it. If by chance you need any components to complete your build, please let me know.
If you have questions about the frame, please ask before bidding.
ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS - welcome to eBay! I'd love to provide your first positive rating. Just message me before bidding, mmmmmm-kay? Thanks!
Item sold used "as is". No warranties, implied or otherwise. Auction winner assumes all liabilities and must be based in the USA - no international buyers. Sorry but I cannot ship this frame outside the continental USA, and I will not ship to a freight forwarder either. Why? Because eBay says that I no longer have any seller protections if a freight forwarder is utilized. Thanks for understanding!
I take great pride in the way I pack frames for shipment. I have to use new cardboard boxes from Amazon ($12-$15 each) because my local bike shops can't always provide me with boxes in the sizes I need. Smaller frames ship with forks removed (if present), rear triangle blocked with wood, and lots, lots, LOTS of crumpled up newspaper to ensure the frame doesn't move around inside. Larger frames also ship with the rear triangle blocked with wood, and with any fork still attached. I use cardboard bracing in several key spots (front and rear brake bosses, bottom bracket, rear dropouts) along with heavy-duty zip ties to ensure the frame does not move around once the box is closed. The process is tedious but the results are worth it, as my past customers will attest!
Finally, Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I ship *FAST* and don't sell JUNK!
