What does Railroad Grade Class A mean? "Railroad Grade Class A" refers to high-quality, top-tier pocket watches approved for use in the railroad industry that are approved on all major railroads and are perpetually qualified. This classification signifies a standard of reliability, precision, and durability for equipment and refers to premium-grade materials. Railroad Grade Class A pocket watches are the most accurate. If you search for Railroad Grade Class A pocket watches online you will find that only about 10% lof Railroad Grade pocket watches are Class A. They were the most expensive pocket watches in their day.
