Easy Racers recumbent bike spandex tail fairing STARS & STRIPES gold rush TOUR

Do you ride an Easy Racers recumbent bike, such as a Tour Easy or a Gold Rush? On offer here is a Spandex tail fairing - sometimes called a tailsock - in a Stars & Stripes pattern, intended to fit over an aluminum tube tail fairing framework. The fairing is made of stretchy Spandex material and is in very good condition. No rips or stains or soiled spots.

PLEASE NOTE WELL: You get the Spandex cloth fairing alone. You do NOT get the bike in the pictures! You do NOT get the aluminum tube tail fairing framework shown in the last picture! 

You only get the Spandex cloth STARS & STRIPES stretchy material to be fitted over the fairing framework that you already have. You say that you don't have a tail fairing framework on your bike? It is very easy to construct one yourself out of tubes that you buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. Or you could use old fiberglass fishing poles, or tent poles, or other materials that you MacGyver into a framework. Just copy the basic shape shown in the last picture. Four tubes is all it takes. The twin top tubes are 23" long. The twin lower tubes are 29" long. Make sure that the attachments to the bike seat and frame are secure. 

Will the fairing make you faster? Ordinarily, no. If you are cranking down a long steep hill at warp speed, maybe you will get a small speed boost. The main benefit of the fairing is enhanced visual conspicuity. It can keep you alive.

Your visibility to motorists distracted by cellphones while driving will greatly improve. Motorists will notice you and give you some respect (for a change). They will be much more likely to see you. They will generously allow you to continue living. Running over an everyday cyclist? No big deal. Happens all the time. Just say "I didn't see him" and you are home free. But turn a patriotic cyclist into a road pizza with your SUV? That is a serious no-no. Especially close to July 4th.

(The tail fairing can also be used with other recumbent bikes sharing a seat design similar to the Easy Racers, such as a RANS Stratus, Recycled Recumbent etc.)
