상품 설명

On offer is a Celtic Cross vase from Troika of Cornwall. Signed by Simone Kilburn who worked at the pottery for a few years from 1975 to 1977, the vase has a white glazed interior and a rough textured exterior. Quite a rare piece and not often seen.

Markings: signed to the base TROIKA and SK for Simone Kilburn.

Approximate size: 260mm (10.3") in height. The base is 48x45mm and the head is 73mm across. The penny is shown for size comparison.

Condition: the cross is in very good vintage condition with the following noted: there is a hairline crack on the base which I have traced to approximately 5cm up the side. This is difficult to see because of the colour and texture, but I don't think it goes any further. There are a couple of minor blown spots in the glaze, mainly where it has pooled in crevices, and one of the "rays" on the left-hand side of the figure is bare.
