This listing is for a CECHC03 PS3, which has had a Frankenstein conversion (backwards compatible PS3 reconditioned with components from a PS3 Slim). This machine can also play PS1, PS2 & PS3 discs!
The console is in very good condition and has only been used for a total of 24 DAYS since manufacture!!!!
It comes boxed with 3 USB charging cables, as well as an original Sony DualShock3 controller & 3 PS Move controllers. Furthermore, a new & sealed copy of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 has been included along with 5 other PS Move games!
The original 90nm RSX has been replaced with a 40nm RSX, which are known to be more reliable.
In addition to this, all NEC TOKINS have been replaced by Tantalum capacitators and an undervolting process has been carried out to regulate the voltage going into the console - thus ensuring a longer lifespan and preventing the infamous YLOD. There is a warranty seal, to protect the console against tampering of the work that has been carried out.
Steps have been taken to keep the system temperatures below 69°C at all times. The HDD has been upgraded from 60GB to a massive 1TB for additional storage! I have also fixed the web browser so that it opens to a search engine rather than a blank page.
This type of PS3 converted with newer hardware, is extremely rare and is not always sold with upgraded storage or additional accessories & games.
This would make an ideal gift for a retro gamer, particularly as everything required to run the console is already included in the box!
