Rare 1930s Ohio Art Humpty Dumpty Fall Tin Tea Set, Fern Bisel Peat, 30pc, JRB

Whimsical and well-loved, this 30-piece tin litho tea set was produced by the Ohio Art Company in the late 1930s to early 1940s, featuring storybook-style illustrations by celebrated children’s artist Fern Bisel Peat. The set’s central theme is Humpty Dumpty having a "great fall," rendered in Peat’s signature expressive style, with playful scenes of ducks, flowers, and nursery rhyme characters.

This particular set belonged to the seller’s grandmother and was later enjoyed by her daughters—three generations of imaginative play are etched into its surfaces. The wear is consistent with age and joyful use: fading, scratches, dents, and paint loss throughout. It’s a tactile record of family history and a charming display piece for collectors of vintage toys or early American lithography.
