Quad 33 Pre Amp Da Da modified in original box

For sale a Quad 33, original box but with top polystyrene cover missing, owners manual and information sheet in very good condition, please see pics.

I have modified the 33 with the deluxe kit from Da Da electronics (Belgium QUAD specialists).

The kit replaces all the electrolytic capacitors, transistors and some resistors. It increases the power supply voltage and reduces the gain of the amplifier cards thus making it compatible with newer devices, cd’s iPod docking stations etc. The modification also increases the pre amp gain for the disc input.

All inputs checked and it sounds great with the 303 (separate listing) and crappy speakers (there’s a reason for them) see video. Everything works but sometimes the “RADIO 2” button needs very slight encouragement to release when deselected.

Also included is a Bulgin mains socket wired to 3 core mains lead.

I am a retired Calibration Engineer that has got bored so started to buy broken Quad equipment to repair and keep me, nearly, sane.
