KNIGHTS TEMPLAR – Masonic Seal – Antique Finish Silver-Plated Coin – 1 Dollar – Palau 2013
Special commemorative coin struck from copper–nickel and plated with fine silver, featuring an antique finish. The coin has a plain edge with no rim, giving it a distinctive historical appearance.
The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Palau: a central shield with Neptune holding a trident and a mermaid by his side, an open treasure chest, and the inscription RAINBOW’S END. Above the shield is a canoe with a paddler, surrounded by seven stars. The face value “1$” is shown at the bottom.
The reverse is a faithful reproduction of the medieval seal of the Knights Templar, depicting two knights riding a single horse – a symbol of brotherhood, poverty, and shared purpose within the Order. Around the design runs the Latin inscription SIGILLUM MILITUM XPISTI (“Seal of the Soldiers of Christ”).
