“HUBLEY” — Hubley cast iron stand/base, not just a generic Victorian iron piece.

Hubley Manufacturing Co. was based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and while they’re best known for cast iron toys and doorstops, archival records note they also made early “metal art goods,” including lamps, tables, bookends, doorstops and knockers.  What it most likely is

The measurements look roughly:

about 16 inches long

about 15–16 inches tall

likely narrow depth, maybe around 7–9 inches, depending on foot-to-foot depth

That makes it more of a small stand base, not a full-size table base.

Age estimate

early 1900s / first half of 20th century. Hubley was founded in 1894 and their cast iron decorative goods were part of the company’s earlier production history.  

Antique cast iron stand/base marked HUBLEY on the decorative leaf panel. Ornate Victorian-style acanthus leaf and scroll design with twisted center stretcher and aged dark patina. Likely originally used as a small plant stand, fern stand, or marble-top accent table base. Great architectural salvage piece for restoration, garden room décor, porch, patio, or custom glass/marble/wood top project.
