Antique Swiss Cylinder Music Box c.1890 • Rosewood Marquetry Inlay • 18” • Works • Beautiful Sound
For sale is a beautiful circa 1890 Swiss cylinder music box featuring a rosewood case with fine marquetry inlay. This large example measures approximately 18” x 10.5” x 8.5” and includes its original key and glass dust cover with decorative pierced flower pattern.
The mechanism appears original and complete, including the single comb and pinned cylinder. The case shows expected age-related wear but remains sturdy and displays beautifully. The soundboard and interior are in untouched antique condition.
Plays approximately 6–8 airs (see video of the music box playing).
