This is a complete OEM cylinder head assembly removed from a 2004 Yamaha YZF-R6. This is the upper engine component that houses the camshafts, valves, and spark plug holes for this inline-4 cylinder engine.
Condition Observations:
- Casting mark visible: 5SL10 Y=1
- Combustion chambers show typical carbon deposits from use
- Valve seats and valve faces appear intact with normal wear patterns
- Aluminum mating surfaces show old gasket residue and minor surface oxidation - will require cleaning before installation
- Camshaft journals and cam bearing surfaces appear smooth with no visible scoring
- Coolant and oil passages are clear
- Threaded bolt holes appear in good condition
- Minor surface corrosion on some coolant passages (typical for used part)
- One exhaust port flange shows minor discoloration from heat
