The watch is automatic, but it only works as a manual. When I took it in the watch repairman said it only works as a manual, because a piece was broken (I’m not sure which piece). The watch runs and tells decent time, but as always service a watch. I don’t have tools to open the case back, but it is the original movement. I purchased the watch here on eBay and it came with the Speidel band I swapped it out for the leather strap.
