Vintage Green Bullicante Art Glass Ink Well Vase Paperweight Controlled Bubbles

Excellent pre-owned condition with no chips or cracks. There is a central reservoir, that opens up wide within the glass and tapers down to the center of the sphere where it terminates as a rounded tip. See pics - items ship as shown.

Description:

This striking mid-century modern art glass piece features a rich green hue with dozens of controlled air bubbles suspended throughout the heavy rounded form. Crafted using the bullicante technique, this piece showcases expert glassblowing artistry with excellent clarity and symmetry. The top has a recessed reservoir-style opening that tapers down to a tip at the center of the sphere, which may have originally served as an inkwell, flower holder, or purely decorative feature. I would personally use this to root cuttings in water - place in window sill and the light shining through would look amazing and cast colorful shapes upon near by walls and furniture.

Due to the size and weight, and the lack of markings, it is possibly attributed to Murano or Chalet Art Glass, but remains unmarked and thus is sold as an unsigned studio piece. Its smooth base and excellent craftsmanship suggest mid-century origins, possibly 1950s–1970s. Also possibly antique 19th century ink reservoir just missing its lid.
