Important Notice (Effective 8/26/25):
Due to the increased costs from current international tariffs, our kits will temporarily ship without relays or trimming resistors. This adjustment helps us keep prices stable. Once market conditions improve, we plan to include them again.
For those items, you can easily order quality replacements from authorized suppliers such as Mouser or Digi-Key. In practice:

Trimming resistors rarely need replacement ? original parts can be cleaned with DeoxIT or similar if needed, while modern sealed types are simply an upgrade.

Relays are usually serviceable as-is, though the internal contacts may occasionally need burnishing if oxidation causes poor contact.

Easy to install, this kit replaces all electrolytic capacitors. Bad capacitors are a primary cause of problems.
The kit replaces electrolytic and tant caps with high quality new ones sourced via reputable USA distributors like Digikey and Mouser. Caps are Nichicon high quality UKL and UPW capacitors, Any capacitor of 4.7uf or lower is replaced with a high quality Wima film caps for better sound and reliability.
Transistors are also sourced the same way and almost all are highly reliable on-semi devices. Not all (not even most) transistors get replaced, just those that time and collective knowledge have shown to be either noisy, unreliable or at the edge of their operating ability.
- The individual doing the work should be competent with a soldering gun, multimeter, reading a schematic etc. I am not a tech, but I have successfully done hundreds of restorations over the last 20 years.
- Many of the parts lists for these kits were compiled when we restored units, others are sourced from the service manuals (digital download included in purchase if you don't know how to source it). We have compiled parts lists for well over 200 units for units from Marantz, Technics, Pioneer, Sansui, Harman Kardon, etc. We do not sell kits for tube gear currently.
- If the service manual is wrong (it does happen) we will ship you out the correct parts free of charge. The same is true if we make a mistake in compiling the kit ( I hope not but just in case). We want this process to go smoothly for you.
- Included is an instruction/guidance document packed with helpful hints. It is not a step by step guide. But, with it, the service manual, our part number labeled parts list you will have everything you need to get the job done.

All signal path caps 4.7uf or lower are replaced by sonically superior film caps, most by Wima
All transistors are made by OnSemi
Electrolytic caps are primarily Nichicon. Panasonic, United Chem-Con and other reputable brands are also employed
Nichicon caps used are primarily from the UPW and UKL line
Panasonic caps used are primarily from the FC & FR line
Relays are primarily Omron
Trimmer are made by Bourns
