상품 설명
This item is a mint in box (MIB) "Kyoto Oren" Susie doll (Stock No. RD-0009W) dressed in a white kimono, released in 2003 by R&D Fashion Dolls from Taiwan (no longer in operation). Susie is a 1:6 scale fashion doll that is approximately 11 inches (27 cm) tall. It is an articulated doll (moveable joints, 14 points of articulation) with flat feet and has a slim body (slimmer and shorter than the regular Barbie doll of Mattel which is 11-1/2 inches or 29 cm tall). Susie dolls were issued in small editions, usually no more than 400 pieces per style; this Kyoto Oren doll has a limited edition of only 250. The fashions feature fine details like lining, snap-on or hook-and-eye closures.
Susie made her debut in the Fall of 2003 from the creative duo of Rudi Teruel (the "R" in "R&D") and David Wu (the "D" in "R&D"). She is a fashion designer/model whose fashions - up-to-date but with ethnic and traditional inflluence showcase her world travels. Susie became a part of Integrity Toys' "Dynamite Girls" line-up with the introduction of "Electropop Susie" in 2014.Kyoto Oren Susie is dressed in a white kimono outfit. (Note: There is another version of this doll (Stock No. RD-0009B) that is a blonde doll dressed in a black kimono). The kimono is in a white brocade with pink flowers with a skirt with side slits. The ensemble also includes white socks white strapped shoes, a box-like bag in matching brocade fabric, and a silver-tone accessory that looks like a dagger. Her black hair is styled in an updo with side bangs. She has black eyes and her eye makeup has black eyeliner and white eye shadow and lip color is a dark red. Also included are a doll stand, a certificate of authenticity (#28 out of 250) and a BONUS black hatbox which shows a red silhouette of Susie's face on one side and of her full-length figures in the other. This hatbox was an accessory that was released separately. What we are including is the one with the red silhouette, which was an exclusive to our doll company.
This doll has been used briefly as a display doll for doll shows and sales at doll conventions in the 2006-2010 timeframe. The doll and accessories are in near-mint to mint condition. We have included photos of the doll's body to show that it has not been stained by the oufit (which is lined). The doll was redressed and with the accessories were returned carefully to the box liner, which has a tear (which we think came from the doll stand base pushing against the liner). Otherwise, the rest of the doll box is in near-mint to mint condition; the shipper box is is in good condition, with normal wear and tear (please refer to the photos in this listing's Photo Gallery). The item has been stored in a dust-free and smoke-free environment.
