ROYAL Quiet DeLuxe Portable TYPEWRITER with HARD CASE -- 1948

I'm not a typewriter expert, and I don't play one on TV, so I'll tell you what I know and then I'll take questions. The typewriter we are offering is a Royal Quiet DeLuxe model, and the serial number is 1505896, which - so I've been told - dates it to about 1948. 

As far as I can tell, it's complete, but take a look for yourselves, I've taken pictures from every angle I can think of. It looks to be in excellent condition, but I don't know how long it's been sitting unused, and I'm sure it could use at least a good cleaning and oiling. I won't say I've exactly put it through its paces, but I tested the keys and they all move and return freely, and the carriage slides left and right when prompted to do so. If there are any other specific tests you want me to run, let me know. It does have a black ribbon installed, but it seems to have dried out, so my attempt to create a type sample didn't go anywhere.

The case is heavy duty and measures about 13" x 12-1/2", and 7" tall. It is functionally solid, with the handle, hinges and clasp all intact and working, although we don't have a key for the lock. It does have some surface scuffs and scratches, though, so please look closely at the pictures for condition issues, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
