Diese Edition wurde ursprünglich ausschließlich an Musikkritiker ausgegeben und war nie im normalen Handel erhältlich.
Das Set stammt aus dem Nachlass eines Chefarztes aus Frankfurt, der in den 1990er-Jahren eine umfangreiche Sammlung einer Münchner Musikkritikerin übernahm.
Die Schallplatten wurden über Jahrzehnte ideal gelagert (rauchfrei, sauber, sicher) und haben keinen Kontakt zu Tieren gehabt — ein einzigartiges und hervorragend erhaltendes Sammlerset.

Die LPs tragen die begehrten MAROON „HI-FI Stereo“ Labels, darunter viele Philips-Pressungen aus Holland. Diese frühen Stereo-Pressungen sind bei klassischen Sammlern besonders beliebt, weil sie zu einer Zeit hergestellt wurden, als Philips seine Hi-Fi-Stereo-Reihen als Premium-Stereo-Editionen herausbrachte, die technisch und gestalterisch sehr hochwertig produziert wurden. Hi-Fi-Stereo-Label-Pressungen werden aufgrund ihrer historischen Bedeutung und der frühen Stereo-Ära besonders geschätzt.

I am offering here a truly exceptional and highly unusual record set — something I have never encountered before.

This edition was originally issued exclusively to music critics and was never commercially available.
The set comes from the estate of a former chief physician from Frankfurt, who in the 1990s acquired an extensive vinyl collection from a Munich-based music critic.

The records were stored under ideal archival conditions: smoke-free, clean, protected, and never exposed to pets. The result is a remarkably preserved and historically important set, unlikely to appear again in this form.

All LPs carry the highly sought-after MAROON “HI-FI Stereo” labels, including Philips pressings made in Holland. These early Philips Hi-Fi Stereo pressings are especially prized by collectors because they originate from the early stereo era, when Philips produced its premium classical recordings with exceptional manufacturing standards, high-quality vinyl compounds and meticulous mastering. The combination of MAROON labels and Philips Holland pressings represents a peak period of European Hi-Fi stereo production and remains highly regarded among classical vinyl collectors.

All records have been professionally washed to allow accurate grading and to reveal any surface marks clearly. Each LP has been placed into Japanese Kata inner sleeves for optimal protection.
