Vtg 80s Wedding Dress Beaded Puff Sleeve Bridal Gown Detachable Train Size 10
This dress has been kept in one of those Heirloom Keepsake “sealed” boxes. It has been professionally cleaned and prepared for storage. I had to remove it from the box for the photos. It will NOt be shipped in that Box as it is very large and will incur a higher shipping rate.
This is a beautiful dress in very good condition. Traditional 80s style with the high puffy sleeves that has lace and a Britton loop closure. There IS ONE BUTTON MISSING on one sleeve. The back is a deep V that has a beaded accent across the main back. See photos. One side of the Beaded accent is attached to the dress; the other side would be attached with an eye hook and loop closure. The huge bow in back is attached and has a snap on one side to allow for zipper access. The dress has beautifully sewn on bead work with sequins & lace trim. The dress is lined and has a tulle and “slip” layer underneath the main body of the dress.
The DAZZLING piece to this dress is the amazing train that is fully detachable. It’s attached with eye hook & loop closures. It measures approximately 5 feet long when laying flat. It is a bit more decorative as it has cut outs for lace scents and a ruffled ribbon look down both sides. It is AMAZING!!
My mannequin is a true medium, and normally a size 10 would fit her. This dress did NOT as the zipper would not close up all of the way. It fit her in the mid waist and hips, just not the upper chest & bust area. In looking at the inside seams, there does appear to have been some alterations, making the dress smaller. They could possibly be let back out to give extra room. The shoulders did seem to fit but it might fit differently when fully zipped. It does look like the top shoulder seam was taken up about an inch, so it could possibly be let back out as well. Zoom in on one of the photos of the upper back dress to see how and where it did or did not fit. Also, see photos with approximate measurements to see if this will work for you.
