This is the Pioneer SA-8800, a highly regarded vintage integrated pre-main stereo amplifier from the golden era of Japanese audio. Featuring Pioneer's classic brushed aluminum faceplate, tactile toggle switches, and robust circuit design, it is highly sought after by vintage audio collectors and restoration enthusiasts for its warm, musical sound signature.
Condition & Operation (As-Is Status)
- Audio Output: Sound output has been successfully confirmed.
- Control Functions: The VOLUME and BALANCE knobs operate properly to adjust volume and L/R balance. The BASS and TREBLE tone controls function correctly to alter the sound output.
- Audio Quality Note (Right Channel Defect): Audio from the Left (L) channel is clear and clean. However, the sound from the Right (R) channel feels distorted or slightly cracked, indicating an audio quality imbalance.
- Cosmetic Condition: This is a pre-owned vintage item. It shows typical signs of previous use, including some surface scratches and minor stains in places, but it remains in relatively clean and beautiful condition overall. Please inspect all photos carefully to verify the exact cosmetic state.
