Wollensak Stereo 10 Camera
In Beautiful condition!
I've said it before and I will repeat it: If I were not using a Realist 2.8, I would be using a Wollensak stereo camera.
When I was in my height of Realist admiration, I had a friend who was using a Wollensak. I tried to convince him to use a Realist... When I saw his stereo slides from the Realist and the Wollensak, the Wollensak pictures were better, hands down. That was back in 1997. Since then, I have heard nothing but good things from Wollensak owners.
I must confess that I have never used a Wollensak but I have also never met anyone who was not happy with this camera.
Some specifications from Werner Weiser's book:
- Manufactured by Revere Co, around 1950, about 20,000 Wollensak & Revere cameras made
- Takes 35mm film and produces images 24x23mm (realist format)
- Lens Separation: 70mm
- Aperture: f2.7 to 22, continuously adjustable with stops
- Shutter Speeds: T, B, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 300
- Viewfinder: Galilean type with spirit level
- Focus: 3 ft to infinity
