Offered for sale is an authentic Yamaha Elvin Jones Signature 14x7 Maple Snare Drum, one of Yamaha’s most sought-after signature models. THIS particular drum I purchased from drum Legend JR Robinson around 2006. Manufacture number was in the first 200 made.(0195). Built in Japan and inspired by the legendary Elvin Jones, this drum is known for its incredible warmth, sensitivity, projection, and wide tuning range. It is equally at home in jazz, fusion, rock, or studio recording.
This drum has been well cared for, though it has been used on many gigs by me and a literal who’s - Who of the NYC downtown jazz scene in the 2010s. it is in good to very good used condition with normal cosmetic wear consistent with use. The wood hoops have some bumps and dings from normal use, no cracks or any concerns. It is perfect functionally. It has been well cared for. The shell, hardware, and bearing edges are in excellent playing condition, and the drum delivers the rich, powerful sound that has made this model a favorite among professional drummers and collectors alike. Essentially Every single drummer that has ever played this drum has asked to purchase it from me.
