Presented here is a superb example of a gracious, GIGANTIC WWII period, hard wood clock that has been beautifully decorated with carvings and curvature, powered by a German Junghans two-train half-hour striking brass movement, made before 1900. It has all the original fittings, beautifully decorated. The case has been fully restored, waxed a few times, to exhibit shiny, splendid, appealing antique condition. The movement has been completely dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned, examined, repaired/serviced/oiled. It now ticks beautifully and strikes once on the half-hour and several times on the full hours. It is truly an amazing example of a gracious Victorian/Edwardian period antique clock, a great piece of furniture. It surely will be eye-catching on any mantel in a living room. It will fully occupy your fireplace!

Please look at the photos for detailed decorative features. After a few times of waxing, the case now looks clean, tidy, shiny, lovely and attractive, and feels even better when touching it. The clock has a 7-inch circular polished brass bezel, protecting the lovely creamy dial. Golden Arabic Numerals are used to show the time. They are presented in excellent original condition.

The movement has the typical trademark of Junghans on the backplate, which is dated around the 1940s, with a catalogue number 17/1566 stamped at the bottom of the case (Notified by a knowledgeable ebayer). The movement has been completely overhauled ultrasonically (see photos), examined, repaired, and serviced. The nearly century-old clock is now in great working order and keeps great time. The striking sounds lovely.

Obviously, like wisdom, wear and tears also come with age, as shown in the photos, which form an essential part of the description. However, nothing is that distractive to the antique attraction of this Shiny, solid wood clock, which surely would make your mantel look special.  

All clocks on sale have been tested for weeks, and they all come with a pendulum and working winding key. In this case, this clock comes with the original bronze pendulum and a BRASS winding key, and it is in excellent working order.

This clock is massive and gracious, measures 52 cm (20.5 inch) wide, 22 cm (9 inch) tall, and 15 cm (6 inch) in depth.
