VINTAGE JVC JR-S501 Solid State Stereo Receiver - Works Well - Could use TLC!

We're clearing out my dad's estate and he had several of these in various states of condition. He had a sticky note on this one that reads, "AMP CRACKLES LOUD" and I have left it on there for the sake of full transparency and reasonable expectations. I don't know what he meant by that, but the only thing I found to be loud was the static in between stations as I rolled the dial and watched the needle smoothly glide left or right. I was able to locate several FM stations that came in clearly and nothing crackled as I increased the volume - but I'm only using bookshelf speakers too, though. Beyond that, it may need a few lightbulbs replaced, but every button seems to work exactly as they should, the volume lever is smooth and accurate, the EQ levers all work well, and the radio buttons that toggle between bands work great too.

Overall, that's the best I can tell you about it to the best of my ability as a non-audiophile.
