The Metabo 18V Cordless WVPB 18 LT BL 11-125 Quick 4-1/2” / 5” Variable Speed Brushless Braking Angle Grinder is German engineered and manufactured for safety, productivity, and extreme durability in a broad range of industrial grinding, cutting, beveling, and deburring applications. Metabo\'s 2nd generation BRUSHLESS Motor technology pushes true 1,100 Watt/11.0Ah corded power equivalent with a variable speed range of 2,800 – 10,000 RPM, delivering 40% greater output for best-in-class performance. In addition, it runs cooler and maximizes the energy transfer from the battery to the spindle, creating highest efficiency for extended run time, and maximum continuous power and productivity. The grinder\'s safety is enhanced by the patented Metabo S-Automatic safety slip clutch and electronic safety cut-out, reducing the likelihood of kickback, immediately stopping the tool, and therefore helping the user maintain control if the accessory jams. The ergonomic non-locking paddle switch is designed to reduce fatigue and de-energize the motor immediately upon release, activating the electronic Metabo Brake System and stopping the wheel in 2.5 seconds or less for enhanced operator safety. Grinding and cutting downtime is minimized with the M-Quick System for fastest tool-free wheel change at the touch of the large spindle lock button. The detachable dust filter and fully encapsulated motor ensure extreme durability by protecting the motor from dust and debris. Electronic features include vario-tacho-constamatic (VTC) speed stabilization for highest productivity, extreme overload protection, power interruption protection and soft start. For additional user convenience the tool also features a 4-position locking rotatable battery pack, (2) tool-free adjustable guards (4-1/2” and 6”), dual-position reduced vibration side handle, and DropSecure capability for connecting the DropSecure Tethering Bracket and a lanyard (both sold separately) for security when working at height. In addition to the above, the package includes a clip-on Type 1 cutting wheel guard, detachable dust filter, M-Quick flange nut, and inner support flange (bare tool only - batteries and chargers sold separately). Every Metabo battery is engineered with multiple levels of protection to extend service life. Proprietary ULTRA-M™ technology allows the tool, battery, and charger to communicate with each other for optimized performance. Single Cell Protection in conjunction with Overload Protection prevents over-charge/over-discharge to the individual battery cells and extends service life of both the tool and battery pack by preventing damage from overheating.
