Eight sets of .030 oversize piston rings for 1972 to 1981 Harley 1000cc Sportsters. Bought a box of these when Dixie Distributing went out of business. Could not find the part number 551R in any catalog or on the Internet. Compared them to other piston rings that we had for 1,000 CC Sportster and they\'re the same measurements. That\'s how we determine the fitment. Please note that if you buy one listing you will get eight boxes which is enough to do eight engines. According to the parts manager it fits 1972 to 1981 1,000 CC Sportsters. Believe that 82 to 1983 Sportsters use different rings so that\'s why they won\'t fit those years. These are new and have been sitting in a warehouse for decades so the packaging is going to be a little rough.
